Itinerary (9-10h approx):
Discover with us the work of a genius! In the centre of the island Cesar turns a simple quarry into a homage to agricultural work: the “Farmers’ Monument”, Manrique's work and tribute to the work of Lanzarote´s rural community, whose efforts are materialized in La Geria, a unique landscape in the world, and in obtaining agricultural products from a land as dry as that of this island. It contains an extraordinary collection of tools and instruments used by the farmers through the times that allow the visitor to recover much of the history of the island and its traditions.
After your visit, the road takes us from the village of Teguise, the ancient capital of Lanzarote, to the valleys. The beautiful views of the road force us to stop near the highest point of the island, to view the Valley of the Thousand Palm Trees, the village of Haría, the Volcano Corona, the northeast coast and its towns

We cross the village of Haría and pay a visit to "El Mirador del Río", the work of the local artist and from the terraces and windows of this magnificent viewpoint you can have a glance at a beautiful landscape, highlighting the panoramic view of the Chinijo archipelago (islets: Graciosa, Montaña Clara, Alegranza, Roque del Este and Roque del Oeste) at a height of 479 meters above sea level.
We descend along the Volcano la Corona (crown), a volcanic tube approximately 6 km long in the north of Lanzarote, and pay a visit to one of the most impressive caves on the island, you decide between: "Jameos del Agua" or "Cueva de los Verdes".
Here it is up to you what you would like to see:
“Jameos del Agua", transformed by the artist César Manrique, who intends to show the visitor an area to observe nature hardly intervened by man.
Jameos del Agua is a huge hole that occurs as a result of the sinking of the roof of a volcanic tube and located inside the volcanic tunnel produced by the eruption of the Crown Volcano. The tunnel has a known length of 6 km, of which at least 1,5 km run under the sea surface. Jameos del Agua are located in the section of this tunnel closest to the coast.

"Cave of the Greens", a volcanic structure that is in the municipality of Haría north of Lanzarote.
It is a volcanic tube that is designated by the eruption of the Volcano of the Crown and was formed approximately 5000 years ago, (before the National park Fire Mountains - Timanfaya), when the lavas very flowing descended under firmer lavas, creating a large elongated cavity. This volcanic tube has a total length of seven kilometres from the Crown volcano to the coast and extends under the sea by 1.5 km more.
This cave at Aborigines times was used as a refuge from attacks by Berber pirates on the island. It receives the name of "Cave of the Greens" being the "Greens" family that owns those lands in which the cave was.
This cave has a well-kept secret and that will be revealed by our guide during the visit of the same.
The volcanic nature, always present in the work of Manrique, we discover it with the visit of the beautiful "Cactus Garden", the last open work of César Manrique and where he manages to maintain the binomials between art and nature. In the 5,000 m2 of this Tourist Center we will find about 7,200 specimens of more than 1,100 different species of cactus.

We reserve till the end, the visit of the "César Manrique Foundation", his home and source of inspiration. House perfectly integrated in the lava that surrounds it. Built in 1968 on a lavage lava from the eruption that occurred on the island during 1730-36, it uses, at the lower level, the natural creation of five volcanic bubbles, to shape a surprising and exemplary habitable space in terms of natural space action in the one that it is.
After these spectacular visits, we return to the road that takes us back to our hotel.
Lunch en route*. / *Optional: Not included in the price

Vielen Dank an Erich , unseren Reiseleiter. Es war ein sehr schöner Tag. Weiter so.
